Ultra-pure, DeIonized water flow monitoring
Ultra-pure, DeIonized water flow monitoring
The Sonic-Pro series S4 Ultrasonic Flow Meter can measure fluid flow in water. The Sonic-Pro S4 meter measures fluid flow using the Transit Time method. The Sonic-Pro S4 ultrasonic sound transducers are factory positioned for water. They do not touch the process fluid and there are no moving parts. This method of flow measurement is safe, non-intrusive and very easy to service.
To enable the sound waves to complete their circuit, the Transit Time measuring method requires relatively “clean” water. The maximum amount of particles should not exceed 0% to 5% (0 to 50,000 ppm).
Water that contains low concentrations of other chemicals, such as 5% sodium hypochlorite, may be acceptable provided the chemical does not change the speed that sound travels through the fluid more than approximately +/- 100 m/sec. The transducers are factory adjusted for a fluid with a sound speed of 1500 meters per second +/- 100 m/sec.
The Sonic-Pro series Hybrid Ultrasonic Flow Meters can measure fluid flow in virtually any fluid in which sound waves can travel. The Sonic-Pro Models S1, S2 & S3 meters are considered “hybrid” because they can measure fluid flow using either the Doppler or Transit Time methods. The Sonic-Pro ultrasonic sound transducers are clamped to the outside of the pipe wall and include no moving parts. This method of flow measurement is safe, non-intrusive and very easy to service.
The Doppler measurement method requires particles be present in the flow stream to “reflect” the sound waves. The meter may be operated in the Doppler mode when the fluid contains 0.02% to 15% (200 to 150,000 ppm) of particles .
The Transit Time measuring method requires relatively “clean” fluid to enable the sound waves to complete their circuit. The meter may be operated in the Transit-Time mode when the fluid contains 0% to 10% (0 to 100,000 ppm) of particles. To allow for changes in the fluid’s particle count, the Sonic-Pro monitors the signal gain and employs an Automatic Gain Control (AGC) algorithm that periodically adjusts the gain maintain the optimum power level.
Unparalleled Accuracy, Diverse Application Solutions.
Blue-White’s BW DIGI-METER® F-1000 is a battery powered electronic flowmeter. This high accuracy paddlewheel insertion meter lets the operator know at a glance how much water is being used. Three versions of the BW DIGI-METER are offered.
Two standard AAA batteries, with a minimum life of one year, power BW DIGI-METER F-1000 flowmeters. BW DIGI-METER Benefits Include: Easy to read .35″ high, 6-digit LCD Display; Factory calibrated, nothing to program; Weather resistant NEMA 4X enclosure; Corrosion resistant PVDF Sensor; Large calibrated flow range; Minimal maintenance required. A variety of configurations and pipe fitting material options for in-line and saddle mount installation are offered.
The thoughtfully engineered BW DIGI-METER® F-2000 Series, paddlewheel type digital flowmeters, are offered in four model variations.
Additional F-2000 features include: Easy to read eight digit LCD with up to four decimal positions; factory programmed with calibration certificate; field programmable via front panel touch pad; front panel security lockout. Additional features and custom calibration units are offered.
Visual and Dependable Flow Monitoring.
Keep flow monitoring effective, efficient, and streamline. The velocity driven F-550 acrylic flowmeter installs flush into instrumentation panels and custom systems. This instrument is available for both liquid and gas application.
F-550 flowmeters are a flush-mount design with removable bulkhead nuts. The meter body undergoes an annealing process to re-align the molecules of the acrylic after the machining process. This adds strength and chemical resistance. Standard models come equipped with #316 Stainless Steel floats and guides, however, for more corrosive applications, hastelloy-c is available. Optional Flow Control Adjustment Valve keeps operator in control of gas or liquid passing thought the meter.
Rib-Guided float, flowmeters for Ultra-Pure applications contain no metal in the fluid path. The tough polysulfone meter body, with precisely engineered float guide ribs, resists high temperatures and pressures. The flowmeters are ideal for corrosive environments such as deionized water or other applications where all plastic meters are desirable. Butt and socket fusion adapters available. Adapter materials include PVC, Polypropylene, and PVDF options. Float material PTFE, seal in FKM or EP. Not recommended for direct sunlight.
Smooth and Quiet Pumping Action. Highly Accurate Feed Capabilities.
The Pro-Series® Flex-Pro® A2 peristaltic metering pump provides solutions for treatment in smaller applications with aggressive and viscous chemicals using a quiet, smooth, low-velocity pumping action. Specially engineered tubing for long life and high pressures meets FDA 21 CFR requirements for food contact applications, now includes New US Patent No 8,418,364 for extending tube life. Exclusive TFD (Tube Failure Detection) system (Patent No. 7,001,153 and 7,284,964) senses tube failure by detecting chemical in the pump head, sending an alarm. Intelligent control system permits connection to SCADA or other remote controllers for dosing control. Communications protocols available: Profibus DPV1, Modbus RTU, and more. A2 features a 100:1 turndown ratio.
The Flex-Pro® peristaltic metering pump design does not have valves that can clog requiring maintenance. The A3 and A4 models inject a wide variety of chemicals both viscous and aggressive, with a smooth, low-velocity action.
Features an exclusive, patented method for extending pump tube life, U.S. patent 8,418,364.
Other A3 and A4 exclusive, patented features include: Tube Failure Detection System, which alerts the operator if tube failure occurs, and shuts down the pump until the problem is resolved, U.S. Patent Nos. 7,001,153 and 7,284,964. A3 & A4 feature a 2500:1 turndown ratio.
