About the A3S Pump
The A3S Pump is designed to be simple and easy to operate. The pump comes with pre-installed and tested firmware. Occasionally, firmware for this pump may need to be updated.
Firmware Updates
A Firmware Update may be required periodically to ensure the A3S has the latest updates. To check for firmware updates, visit the Blue-White website product page and check firmware documentation. The firmware instructional video is located on the website.
Firmware updates required a USB-A to USB-C cable to connect a laptop/PC to the pump. Do not use a USB-C to USB-C cable. If the laptop/PC only has a USB-C port, a USB-A to USB-C adapter must be used.
System Information
All A3S pump system information can be accessed by pressing the App key, and then pressing the System Information key.
The information available in System Information:

- Chemical Name
- Firmware Version
- System Build
- Manufactured Date & Time
- Serial Number
- Model
- I/O Firmware Version
- Motor Firmware Version
- Industrial Protocol firmware Version

A3S System
- Help. I forgot the password? I’m locked out of my pump. What do I do?
Legacy A3/A4:
- Unplug the pump from the power source
- Press and hold the up and down arrow buttons while plugging the pump back into power
- Keep pressing and holding until the pump boots up completely
A3S/A4S:
- Please contact Blue-White customer service, or your local distributor for assistance with password reset instructions.
How do I reboot my pump?A3 and A4 pumps can be re-started by removing power and then reconnecting power. The A3S and A4S models include a power switch at the rear on the unit, which also acts a a resettable circuit breaker. If a complete "Factory Reset" of the pump is desired:
Legacy A3/A4:
- Unplug the pump from the power source
- Press and hold the up and down arrow buttons while plugging the pump back into power
- Keep pressing and holding until the pump boots up completely
A3S/A4S:
- Go to Settings, open System, and Select "Factory Reset" and press "Continue" . The pump will automatically reboot and run the initial set-up process.
