Aluminum Skid Systems

Introduction to the CFS

Description

The CFS Skid System is a pre-configured standard skid that comes pre-tested from the Blue-White factory. The skid includes all the necessary components required to safely inject liquid chemical into a system.

The CFS skid is constructed with a chemically resistant polyester powder-coated 6061 T6 welded aluminum frame and feature leak-free threadless connections.. The frame is durable and lightweight, making it easy to ship, install, and maintain. The CFS Skid is available as a single pump skid or a dual pump skid. The dual pump skid is a duty/backup configuration with a single outlet.

  • The pre-fabricated design allows for easy installation.
  • Strong, lightweight polyester powder-coated welded aluminum structure.
  • Dual side inlets enable convenient connection of multiple skids to the same inlet.
  • Flow Indicator provides a visual indication of chemical movement.
  • Option for flow verification or flow rate via MS6 flow meter.
  • Schedule 80 PVC or CPVC piping.
  • Pressure rating of 150 PSI (10.3 Bar).
  • Compatible with most Blue-White pumps.
  • 2 Year Limited Warranty.

Standard Components of the CFS Skid System

  • Chemically resistant polyester powder coated 6061 T6 aluminum, Welded joint construction.
  • Vented Ball Valves, True-Union.
  • Pressure Relief Valve—This valve protects the system from over-pressurization. It has a 5-100 psi setting range and a 150 psi maximum system pressure.
  • Check Valve – Protects the user from back-flow during pump maintenance.
  • Inlet Y Strainer – Protects system components from damage caused by dirt or debris.
  • Flow Indicator – machined cast acrylic.
  • Mounting Pads – Stainless Steel mounting pads to secure Chem-Feed® System to a solid surface. Designed for floor mount or wall mount.
  • Drip tray(s).
  • Tubing connections and mounting for pump (ordered separately.)

Optional Components of the CFS Skid System

  • Calibration Cylinder – Confirm pump output under system conditions. Specify cylinder volumes from 1.6 GPH to 32 GPH.
  • Flow Verification Sensor – MS6 Flow Meter accurately verifies chemical feed. Exclusive to Blue-White. (Replaces Flow Indicator on skid)
  • Pulsation Dampener – Protect the system components from pulsation. Recommended for diaphragm pump systems.
  • Pressure Gauge with Guard – Isolate and protect the system pressure gauge. Specify pressure ranges from 0-30 PSI, 0-100 PSI, or 0-200 PSI.
  • Contact factory for recommendations on additional accessories like pressure switches, back-pressure valves, and terminal boxes.

Applications

The CFS Skid is designed to provide smooth chemical feed with any of the Blue-White pumps. The CFS skid is compatible with most acid and alkaline solutions. The user should confirm that the chemical being used is compatible with skid system components. If unsure about skid compatibility, contact the factory for assistance and options on custom materials and configurations.
