The A-100NVP has 4-20ma input for speed control.
What is suction lift?Suction lift is the maximum vertical distance that a pump can draw liquid from a source below the pump centerline. This is typically measured in feet or meters of water.
Suction lift is limited by the atmospheric pressure. Atmospheric pressure is the force exerted by the weight of the air above the Earth’s surface. As the liquid level in the suction line drops, the atmospheric pressure decreases. This decrease in atmospheric pressure reduces the suction force that the pump can generate.
If the liquid level in the suction line drops too low, the atmospheric pressure will be insufficient to overcome the vapor pressure of the liquid. Vapor pressure is the pressure exerted by the vapor of a liquid in equilibrium with its liquid state. When the vapor pressure of the liquid equals the atmospheric pressure, the liquid will begin to vaporize.
