Description
Quick Disconnect (QD) fittings are available for most Blue-White pumps. Quick Disconnects allow the user to safely and quickly disconnect the suction and discharge tubing or piping connections to the pump.
The quick disconnects make tube changes easier for peristaltic pumps while keeping chemicals from spilling or spraying during maintenance. For diaphragm pumps (CD1, MD1), the quick disconnects allow for simple maintenance with minimal chemical drippage.

Features
Quick Disconnects have the following features and benefits:
- Color-coded. Orange – Discharge fitting. White – Suction fitting.
Discharge fitting (orange)
- Installs on the outlet side of the pump
- Orange indicates lines may be pressurized
- Active check valve that prevents chemical flow in the reverse direction
- Internal valve is safely usable up to 2lbs of pressure
Suction fitting (white)
- Installs on the inlet side of the pump
- White indicates the line is not pressurized
- Contains a valve that is closed when disconnected (to prevent chemical spilling)
- Valve opens upon installation allowing flow
Compatibility
A2 and M2 pumps – ND, NEE, NGG, and G2G tubes
A3 and M3 pumps – ND, NEE, NGG, NKL, and G2G tubes
A4 and M4 pumps – All listed tubes
CD1 and MD1 pumps – All pump options
Ensure O-rings on QD match O-rings on pumps and skid. (O-ring colors: Black = Alfas, Brown = FKM(Viton), Blue = EPDM)

FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick Disconnects
- What are the materials of construction?
Quick Disconnect Fittings use PVDF, Hastelloy C, and either P/TFE, FKM, or EP O-rings.
Will the suction fitting restrict the flow into my pump? The suction will not restrict flow into the pump unless pumping at full speed with the NP, or when pumping viscous fluids.
Who much back pressure will the discharge fitting add to my peristaltic pump tube?It will add minimal (< 3 psi) back pressure when pumping water. However, additional back pressure may occur at high flows with NP tube, or when running viscous fluids through the pump.
What is the cracking pressure of the discharge fitting? The cracking pressure of the check valve on the discharge Quick Disconnect (Orange) is 2 psi.
What is the maximum working pressure? The maximum working pressure of the Quick Disconnect Fittings is 125 psi (8.6 bar)
Why are there two different colors? One Quick Disconnect is designed specifically for the discharge (Orange), and the one is designed for suction (White). The colors allow the user to distinguish between the two types. If the discharge (Orange) QD is applied to the suction, there can be no flow through the pump, as the built in check valve will not allow flow.
Will the quick disconnect accessory cause flow restriction?Quick Disconnects may cause flow restrictions at higher flow rates or with higher viscosity chemicals. Flow rates may vary with Quick Disconnects, so we recommend calibrating pumps at typical and maximum flow rates to determine the actual flow.
What viscosity rating is acceptable with the quick disconnect kit?Due to the restriction orifice inside the Quick Disconnect, it is recommended to have viscosity of less than
What connection types are available?Quick Disconnects are available with ½” MNPT, ½” Hose Barb, or ¼”x3/8” tubing connections.
What pump tube connection is compatible with the Quick Disconnect Accessory?("Q" connection option) Peristaltic pumps must have the “Q” type tube assembly to be able to use the Quick Disconnects.
What pumps offer the quick disconnect option? The following pumps have options for Quick Disconnect fitting option: A2, A3, A4, M2, M3, M4, CD1, MD1.
Are there different O-ring materials to choose from?Quick Disconnects are available with P/TFE (Aflas), FKM (Viton), or EPDM O-rings.
